Farm Nanny

Farm Nanny is a multifunctional application for Citrix XenApp 6.0 & 6.5 that will help you monitor, troubleshoot, document and healthcheck your farm, administer printer driver replication and keep you up to date with the latest available hotfixes and technotes.

Farm Nanny has a clean, easy to use and easy to navigate GUI, based on WPF technology.

The following features are currently available in Farm Nanny:

Resource Monitor

Monitor the most important statistics of your farm in real time.
At a glance you can see which servers are having problems or which servers are misconfigured.
What is the server load, how are the users spread over the servers, which servers are offline, are all servers in de correct zone and which servers have logons disabled? It’s all there!
The columns in the Farm Nanny resource monitor are sortable and movable, so you can adjust your view so you can see what matters most in your farm.

Farm Nanny also gives you a real time overview of the total amount of connected and disconnected ICA sessions.

Furthermore, Farm Nanny allows you to drill down on a particular server and check vital stats like the available amount of memory and diskspace, printer spooler and Citrix print manager service status, installed printer drivers, installed hotfixes, server uptime, IP addresses and worker group membership.

Reporter

The Farm Nanny Reporter exports all data (and more!) that you see in the Farm Nanny Resource Monitor to an Excel sheet, without the need to have Microsoft Excel installed on your server.

With the Farm Nanny Reporter you don’t have to run PowerShell scripts (which require you to install the XenApp SDK on your server) on your servers to document your Citrix XenApp farm: Just click the button and you’re done!

Printer Driver Replicator

Although Citrix removed the auto printer driver replication from the management console, it’s still possible to use this functionality through the XenApp PowerShell SDK (for those of you who like the command line).
With Farm Nanny you can now easily add multiple printer drivers to auto replication list, without ever having to type a single letter!

Removing printer drivers from the auto replication list is just as easy: Select the drivers and click remove.

The Farm Nany Printer Driver Replicator currently works for XenApp 6.5 only.

Health Checker

Farm Nanny Health Checker will help you health check your farm by giving you a GUI for several Citrix XenApp command line tools.

The availability checker is able to detect your XenApp server ICA port and License server and port number used and will then check if the ports are responding.

Hotfix Browser & Technote Browser

Never miss out on the latest available hotfixes and technotes!

Farm Nanny detects your XenApp version and displays the latest available technotes and all available hotfixes. From within the same window you can easily browse directly to Citrix.com to read more about the hotfix or technote.
